KATHI HURST Tournament Angler From Ripley, Mississippi    With sixteen years of bass fishing experience, including 13 years of fishing on the professional level in women's and predominately men's tournament, Kathi has proven to be an outstanding performer in a very competitive field. In 1996, she set the record for the highest finish by a female angler in a Bassmaster's Open tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn by finishing 51st. And in 1997, she had a record setting performance by breaking her old record and becoming the first female angler to place in the top 50 of a Bassmaster Open tournament. During the years fishing the women’s professional circuit, Kathi has accumulated numerous top twenty-five finishes as well as the title of Louisiana National Open Champion in October of 2003. With the announcement by ESPN/BASS of the Women's Bassmaster Tour, the excitement of women's fishing has been growing by leaps and bounds. Kathi will bring to this new circuit many years of angling creditability and perseverance in the tournaments.
